Amazon has just announced the opening of their UK Kindle online ebook store on the 27th of August 2010. The Amazon UK kindle store will offer for sale over 400, 000 electronic editions of best selling and new release books. As well as UK and international newspapers and magazines. There will also be over one million free books available.
To read all of these e-books Amazon UK are offering two new generation Kindle Wireless Reading Devices.
Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, 6" Display, Graphite - Latest Generation with built in wi-fi for connectivity via your home network or wireless hotspots.
Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally - Latest Generation for connectivity via the 3G mobile phone network around the world. As well as built in wi-fi for connectivity via your home network and wireless hotspots.
Additional connectivity on both kindle readers is provided via usb port.
Ebooks can be added to the kindle from the Amazon UK kindle store directly through either the wi-fi wireless connection or the 3G network connection. Kindle ebooks can also be added to the reader by using the usb cable to download the ebooks from a pc.
